If a client is dissatisfied with the writing or editing services of Manuscript Editor Online, their document will be re-written or re-edited at no charge according to their instructions. If the client remains dissatisfied, writing and editing fees are waived.

Intellectual property

Manuscript Editor Online makes no claim on any work submitted for editing. All documents remain the intellectual property of the client.


Confidentiality of all client information is maintained strictly. Manuscript Editor Online will disclose client information only with written permission.

Methods of Payment

When clients have indicated that they are satisfied with a document, they will receive an invoice. Payment is accepted in US dollars via credit card or bank-to-bank wire transfer. Credit card payments are made securely through Google Checkout or PayPal. To make arrangements for electronic funds transfer, contact the editor. Manuscript Editor Online does not receive or accept clients' financial information (e.g., credit card numbers) or non-electronic forms of payment.

Quotes are provided at no charge. A writing sample of up to 250 words (one page) and an editing sample of up to 500 words (two pages) also may be provided at no charge. Send writing instructions to the email address above. Send a document for editing as an attachment to an email.

Editing fees

Proofreading and Copy-editing: $0.048 per word ($12.00 per page)

Substantive editing: $0.08 per word ($20.00 per page)

Writing fees

The fee for writing services is $75.00 per hour.  Alternatively, the fee for writing services is $0.20 per word ($50.00 per page) for documents of up to 1,000 words (4 pages). For larger documents, a reduced fee may be negotiated.

Fees are based on industry standards. Reduced rates may be negotiated for large projects.
